Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah and Mohd Siraj claimed three Australian wickets before stumps as the home side looked to chase down a mammoth 534-run target in two days at the Optus Stadium in Perth

India dominated Day 3 of the first Test against Australia in Perth, setting a commanding target of 534 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul's opening stand of 201, followed by Virat Kohli's century, propelled India to 487/6 declared.

Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten for 141 at the end of the first session. India have a massive lead in the bag already.

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant century in the first Test against Australia, reaching the milestone off 205 balls with a six off Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood. Jaiswal and KL Rahul had previously added 200 runs for the opening wicket after India resumed their innings at 172-0 on Day 3.

Jaiswal goes strong and brings up his fifty. KL Rahul on the other hand is still unbeaten in the 40s. The duo has now been settled in the middle of the Optus stadium. Australian bowlers are falling short to claim their first wicket on day two of the first Test.
