Police in Waterbury, Conn., said Thursday that a hit-and-run that injured two women had been intentional, and arrested the teen driver for attempted murder.

Waterbury police have arrested a 19-year-old woman who is accused of hitting her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend and the woman’s friend with a car in October. Melany Camanero, 19, of Waterbury, is accused of crashing into a 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman on Walnut Avenue in Waterbury while they were standing near a pickup just after 8 p.

Police said one of the pedestrians was listed in critical condition and is still hospitalized following the Oct. 10 crash.
