There are worries in Malaysia and neighbouring Thailand that disastrous flooding could get worse as more rain comes.

At least 13 people died and tens of thousands evacuated in one of the worst floods in decades to batter southern Thailand and northern Malaysia.

In neighbouring Malaysia, floods had affected more than 150,000 people across 10 states as of Dec 1, with north-eastern Kelantan bearing the brunt. The death toll from the disaster was four as of Nov 30, according to the National Disaster Management Agency’s website.
