Mahindra launched two new EVs in India, the BE 6e and the XEV 9e in India. The BE 6e and the XEV 9e are based on the INGLO architecture, in which the battery is placed on the floor, resulting in better interior space.

Mahindra has revealed the first of its born-EVs – the BE 6e and the XEV 9e. While the smaller BE already has competition in the market (from the Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV) and more than a few upcoming rivals (from Maruti’s e Vitara to the Hyundai Creta EV),

Mahindra’s first EV under the new ‘XEV’ sub-brand, the XEV 9e, has been launched. It gets six monotone colour options: Deep Forest, Stealth Black, Nebula Blue, Tango Red, Everest White, and Desert Myst.

In terms of dimensions, the BE 6e measures 4,371 mm in length, 1,907 mm in width, and 1,627 mm in height. In contrast, the XEV 9e is 4,789 mm long, 1,907 mm wide, and 1,694 mm tall. While the XEV 9e is considerably longer and marginally taller than the BE 6e, they have an identical width and wheelbase, which stands at 2,775 mm.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) unveiled two ‘electric origin’ sport utility vehicles (SUVs) — the BE 6e and XEV 9e — to be priced at ₹18.9 lakh (ex-showroom) and ₹21.9 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

As seen in the table above, the XEV 9e is significantly longer, marginally wider and sits on a slightly larger wheelbase. The XUV700 stands taller due to its more conventional SUV stance, while the XEV 9e gets a sloping roofline.
