The Supreme Court is allowing a class-action lawsuit that accuses Nvidia of misleading investors about its past dependence on selling computer chips for the mining of volatile cryptocurrency to proceed.

The court’s decision Wednesday comes the same week that China said it is investigating the the microchip company over suspected violations of Chinese anti-monopoly laws.

Shareholders filed a class-action lawsuit claiming they were misled by Nvidia, the microchip-making behemoth that is the world’s second-most-valuable company.

The U.S. Supreme Court dismissed on Wednesday an appeal by artificial intelligence chipmaker Nvidia seeking to avoid a securities fraud lawsuit by shareholders who accused the company of misleading investors about how much of its sales depended on the volatile cryptocurrency market.

The lawsuit is one of two class-action cases involving tech companies that have recently reached the Supreme Court.
